English name for 俠義見青天

I probably won't get as many replies by posting in the English Zone, but hopefully someone who frequents this part of the forum can help me out =)

I've never heard of the series 俠義見青天 before; I think it's a Taiwanese series from 1994? However, Maggie is in the opening credits so I can only assume it was perhaps a cameo of some sort?

What I want to know is, what is the English name for this series, and what is Maggie's character in the series?

That's strange.  I never heard of this series before.  I don't watch Taiwanese series though.  The only one that comes up in my mind is The Good Old Days but it has a different Chinese title.  Maybe it's part of the Wong Fei Hung subhead titles.

I had a look at the wiki site, as well as Maggie Siu Sphere and Maggie Siu Corner, and I couldn't find this series at all

俠義見青天 is Taiwan period/classic series in mid 90s. Many Hong Kong actors/actresses took part in this series, almost similar to Judge Bao series. Maggie's part (several episodes) is one story of the whole series. Other casts are 劉松仁 / Lau Chong Yan / Liu Song Ren, 沈孟生 / Shum Mang Sang / Shen Meng Sheng, etc. M was very very very thin at that time.

Her character was a very pityful lady. Her husband was a loser who knows only gambling and wasting the family's wealth. He thought his wife brought bad luck to him and his family. M had a daughter, about 7-9 years old. Her mother in law was good to her. One day a good guy in the martial art world rescued her from ...(I can't remember what happened). But M's husband accused M and this guy commit adultery. The husband abused M.  Incidentally the husband was killed by his own carelessness. M was accused as the killer. Lau Chong Yan was a Court Official (remember Judge Bao series?) to process M to the court.

Tina a.k.a tsen shared this series w/ us in this forum last year, if I am not mistaken. But I don't know where I keep the CD. I will let you know when I found it.

About M's info in wiki, I guess I was the latest editor. Sorry, bad job for forgetting  this series.    I guess, by now u can tell I am not really fond of this drama.

I sometimes head off to the Wiki site and make new additions if I see stuff that hasn't been added, or else I scoop around for grammatical errors or typos. Pedantic is me.

Thanks for all that info shaw - this is the first I've ever heard of it. And chances are, the last. It doesn't sound all that interesting. Judging from the opening credits, you're right, she's quite thin. Looks like it was around the time she had left TVB, 'Good Old Days' era.

Do you know if it has an English name? Not that it is very important, I uhh just want to name the file for the opening credits LOL.

After small research, I found out the English name is "The Bold and Chivalrous". It was produced in 1994 by famous Taiwanese tv producer 楊佩佩 (http://www.youngpp.com.tw/). Her website contains all her productions, include "TBC". Unfortunately it doesn't mention the cast list.

But, as almost always, youtube has the opening and closing MVs. Here is a snapshot of the cast list:

Wow, shaw is a master researcher! I scooped around but couldn't find anything - although I don't think I tried too hard.

Yep, name is seen . She was quite famous and popular at that time, wasn't she? Having her in the cast would have been abit of an audience pull.

go to wiki, copy and paste the series name (in cantonese) and do a search in either 1) tudou.com; or 2) youku.com. as far as i know, these two websites have the best collections.
