Acclaimed Hong Kong filmmaker Johnnie To serves as producer in the PTU spin-off Tactical Unit series, giving Andy Ng Yiu Kuen (The Untold Story 2) full rein to directing the latest chapter Human Nature. This time, yet another Johnnie To regular actor Lam Ka Tung comes in providing reinforcement to the core cast of Simon Yam, Maggie Shiu, and Lam Suet, who return in their law enforcer roles having to make some morally ambiguous decisions.
Tactical Unit officers Sam (Simon Yam) and May (Maggie Shiu) encounter four Mainland robbers on duty one day, but the robbers escape in the ensuing shootout. Meanwhile, in order to evade the loan sharks, heavy-gambling police officer Fat Tong (Lam Suet) hides in a rented room, where he meets and befriends other tenants of the flat - who are none other than the quartet of Mainland robbers. Not knowing Tong's identity, the criminals invite him to join in their next heist...



this going to release by the end of March, can't wait to get the DVD    Maggie looks cool as Madam May

WOW Maggie actually filmed in 4 different types of PTU namely PTU: THE CODE/ NO WAY OUT/ HUMAN NATURE and COMRADES IN ARMS. Incredible! i never knew it until i watch the trailer. I heard Maggie will be filming another new movie. Wahaha... She's getting more famous. YEAH

JoAnn .. Maggie will be filming another new movie? beside A Very Short Life .. what movie is it? what kind of character Maggie will be playing? and who are her co-stars?

and I think Maggie is in all of the PTU & its spin off .. there's six of them I think

Sorry hyppie i shouldn't have type about the new movie thingy because as i know and what i meant was her latest movie - 'A very Short life' well i don't know the title so i just type this phrase "...... I heard Maggie will be filming another new movie.........". SORRY

According to this yahoo info, M's "Tactical Unit - The Code" will be released in Malaysia movie theaters this weekend.

ha ..  you've got me excited for a bit .. i thought she is going to film a new movie ... it's okie, hope Maggie is working on a new movie or a series for us, can't wait for Dog watch tales (i think that's the name of the series)  to release .. and i'm so dissapointed with TVB for taking Maggie out of that series "Heaven & Earth", i hope the series won't get to make at all hahaha

I guess the M'sia Yahoo posts incorrect info.
But if I were you I will check movies show time for the coming month. Hope they will release Tactical Unit in M'sia too.

Hello Susan, nice to meet you . I'm a malaysian too. Even i can't wait for the movie to be shown in malaysia too. I just found out that malaysia has already held the 1st HK film festival in Kuala Lumpur. do you know about this? Here is the article  about the film festival.

"The Hong Kong Economic and Trade Office (HKETO) in Singapore will organise the Hong Kong Film Festival (HKFF) in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia, from March 5 to 8, to show eight productions by Hong Kong new generation directors to the Malaysian audience.

     Announcing details of the HKFF at a press conference in Kuala Lumpur today (February 26), the Director of HKETO in Singapore, Ms Subrina Chow, said Malaysia has been a major market for Hong Kong movies since the 1960s.  Noting that this is the first HKFF ever held in Malaysia, she said that besides strengthening cultural exchanges between Hong Kong and Malaysia, the film festival was a way to express appreciation for the faithful support of Malaysian audiences for Hong Kong films.

     Ms Chow said: "Movies are Hong Kong's best cultural ambassador.  Over the years, Hong Kong movies are not only popular among audiences in the Southeast Asian region, but have also won international acclaim."

     HKETO in Singapore, the representative office of the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region Government (HKSARG) in the ASEAN region, is committed to strengthening economic and trade relations and enhancing bilateral exchanges in culture and other aspects between Hong Kong and ASEAN countries  

     Ms Chow said: "To promote Hong Kong movies and share the unique culture of our city with more people in the region, the HKETO in Singapore organised two Hong Kong Film Festivals in Singapore in the past, featuring Hong Kong movies of various eras.  They received a very enthusiastic response from the Singaporean audience.  We are glad this year we are holding our first HKFF in Kuala Lumpur."

     Movies featured in the Hong Kong Film Festival 2009 in Kuala Lumpur include the opening movie "The Pye-Dog" that will be shown at the gala premiere, "A Decade of Love", "Explosive City", "Eye In The Sky", "L for Love, L for Lies", "Magic Boy", "The Floating Landscape" and the closing movie "Tactical Unit — Comrades In Arms".
