I haven't finish watching HH2. Had just finished epi when Suki died. Its sooo sad cos M is such a good actress who portrayed the role very (to the power of infinity) well. So far, got quite a few fave scenes.
My fave scenes:
(1) When Anson discovered her sister's phone at the stairway and saw the blood stains, realised what happened and tears fell from her eyes...
(My heart was torn into pieces when I saw Anson's grief-striken and shocked face, Maggie wows me big time for this scene! No overacting, subdued, controlled and genuinely into the role. My sis (not a fan) kept saying, "M is really truly a good actress..")
(2) When Anson was trying to revive the murderer in the A&E. Her apparent coolness amplified the pain and anguish and anger welling up in her.
(3) When Anson was crying in the infant ward & Henry came over to comfort her.
(At first i thought it was strange why it wasn't Chris who came to comfort her but then i realised Henry's mother also passed away so they were in the same situation and best understood each other's pain of losing their loved ones. The setting in the infant room is perfectly nostalgically symbolic as the starting pt of birth/life. Henry reminisces abt his mother who gave birth to him and Anson is like the mother who nurtured Sukie's life.
(4) When Anson suggested to her patient to name her child Ning Sheng (Sukie's name)
Other Scenes
(5) When Anson was in a good mood and started telling Chris the story of Qing Shi Huang, he kept staring at her and then confessed his feelings in a innocent and sincere manner and Anson rejected him cooly. I thought this was quite a cute short scene.
(6) When Anson was with MC operating on the heart of a baby and Anson was calling to the baby not to give up.
(7) Scene of Anson operating on her ex-bf's girlfriend and she was so cool abt it.
(8) Non M scene - All the scenes btw Bowie and his mother, esp when he told her off for not planning her life properly. He seems not to realise whatever he said is a mirror of himself.
For HH2, I totally forgot its Maggie cos she portrayed the role of Anson so well I can't help but believe Anson really exist. No wonder she wow so many fans with her convincing depiction of this role.
I analysed the character of Anson and if I am not wrong, she belongs to the ennegram group of 1 - Pefectionist
